Evraz Place has openings for the following positions: COOK HELPERS - CASUAL The Queensbury Convention Centre Kitchen has openings for Cook Helpers. Two to four years experience in an institutional kitchen operation would be a definite asset. Assist in preparation of hot and cold food items. Perform general cleaning duties ensuring all areas are clean and sanitized. Ensure all functions performed, consistently deliver a high level of quality customer service. He/she must be motivated, enthusiastic, and cooperative; as well as have the ability to work conscientiously with minimal direction. Completion of a Safe Food Handling Course and/or knowledge of the Public Health Regulations and Standards are definite assets. Hours available: days, evenings, and weekends. After midnight transportation home is provided. Please indicate your availability. COOK 1 Under the direction of the Executive Chef or designate, the Cook I is responsible for the preparation and presentation of full course entree's, soups, sauces, pastries and any other menu items required stage in accordance with set quality standards for the Queensbury Convention Centre. Experience in the prep/presentation of hot/cold food, desserts and buffet displays is an asset. Grade 12 education supplemented by four to six months experience in an institutional kitchen operation is also a definite asset. Must have completed a Safe Food Handling course. Shifts available to work: days, evenings, and weekends. Please indicate availability. BANQUET SERVERS Are you devoted to serve? The Queensbury Convention Centre could be for you. Individuals will set-up, deliver, and serve various food and beverage requirements. Previous experience in a banquet or lounge setting is a definite asset but not necessary as willing to train. Servers must have a neat, clean, and well groomed appearance at all times. Shift times vary based on function, with a minimum 4 hour to maximum 8 hour shift. DISHWASHERS - CASUAL The Queensbury Convention Centre Kitchen has openings for Dishwashers. Perform various cleaning duties related to the kitchen area; which ensures all tableware and cookware is clean and sanitized while maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen. Individuals must also have the ability to lift heavy items. To be successful in this position, he/she must be motivated, enthusiastic, and cooperative; as well as have the ability to work conscientiously with minimal direction. Completion of a Safe Food Handling Course and/or knowledge of the Public Health Regulations and Standards are definite assets. Hours available: mostly evenings and weekends with occasional days. CONCESSIONS COUNTER ATTENDANTS - CASUAL Counter Attendants provide prompt, courteous, and helpful customer service during an event. Duties include: customer service, cash reconciliation, inventory and cleaning of concessions stand. You will have good interpersonal skills, previous experience with cash registers and good customer service. Individuals must be bondable. Shift times vary based on event, with a minimum 4 hour to maximum 8 hours shift. Please indicate your availability. PARKING ATTENDANTS - CASUAL Responsible for directing/coordinating the flow of traffic in/out of the grounds/parking lots, ensuring that traffic is equally dispersed in/out of the grounds; ensure vehicles do not park in any undesignated areas. The Attendant is also responsible for assisting customers with handicap identification to park in designated parking stalls; as well as, maintaining visibility throughout their shift to deter vandalism. This position is outdoors; therefore, must have appropriate clothing. Shift times vary based on event. After midnight transportation is provided. Please indicate your availability. |
