The Queensbury Convention Centre Kitchen has openings for Cook Helpers. Two to four years experience in an institutional kitchen operation would be a definite asset. Assist in preparation of hot and cold food items. Perform general cleaning duties ensuring all areas are clean and sanitized. Ensure all functions performed, consistently deliver a high level of quality customer service. He/she must be motivated, enthusiastic, and cooperative; as well as have the ability to work conscientiously with minimal direction. Completion of a Safe Food Handling Course and/or knowledge of the Public Health Regulations and Standards are definite assets. Hours available: days, evenings, and weekends. Under the direction of the Executive Chef or designate, the Cook I is responsible for the preparation and presentation of full course entree's, soups, sauces, pastries and any other menu items required stage in accordance with set quality standards for the Queensbury Convention Centre. Experience in the prep/presentation of hot/cold food, desserts and buffet displays is an asset. Grade 12 education supplemented by four to six months experience in an institutional kitchen operation is also a definite asset. Must have completed a Safe Food Handling course. Previous experience in a banquet or lounge setting is a definite asset but not necessary as willing to train. Servers must have a neat, clean, and well groomed appearance at all times. Shift times vary based on function, with a minimum 4 hour to maximum 8 hour shift.

Counter Attendants provide prompt, courteous, and helpful customer service during an event. Duties include: customer service, cash reconciliation, inventory and cleaning of concessions stand.
